The STMS academic team members showcase their knowledge across various content areas as they compete in regional competitions against other middle schools in the Olde English Consortium.  A match consists of four rounds, including two individual buzzer rounds and two group collaboration rounds.  Students demonstrate their expertise, teamwork, and quick thinking as they tackle questions from diverse academic subjects and pop culture.  This team provides an excellent opportunity for sixth, seventh, and eighth graders to challenge themselves academically while representing our school with pride.  

 

The following school districts are members of our region:  Rock Hill Schools, Clover School District, Fort Mill School District, York School District One, Lancaster County School District, and Chester County School District.  Our region is divided into two leagues based on enrollment with STMS participating in the OEC's Large Middle School league.  At the end of the regular season, teams compete at the OEC's Regional Festival, and the winning team will advance to the state competition.
