Educational Practice and Innovation with a focus on STEAM, University of South Carolina Interests/Hobbies: STEAM curriculum, research, reading all genres (especially historical fiction, mysteries, and informational texts), coaching the academic team, attending Wildcat sporting events and performances, assisting new teachers, tending to my flower garden, needlepointing, quilting, and visiting with my family What is your reason WHY? As a language arts teacher, I have the unique opportunity to help students explore literature, develop writing skills, and gain confidence in expressing their ideas. I strive to create a learning environment where students think critically, engage with multiple perspectives, and feel heard and empowered. Seeing students grow, both academically and personally, makes teaching incredibly rewarding.
